IRIS is an online payment method that allows customers to complete “smart” transactions by logging into their bank’s online environment and approving a specific payment. This method is supported by most Greek banks and is available to almost all Greek users who use e-banking services.
By default, all merchants and companies in Greece are enabled to accept payments via IRIS. Customers can pay with IRIS if they have a valid e-banking account that supports the IRIS service.
Ease of Use: Customers don’t need to carry credit or debit cards. Payments can be completed quickly and securely within their e-banking platform.
Availability: IRIS is a widely used payment method in Greece, making it highly familiar to local users and helping increase conversion rates for Greek merchants.
Fast Access: Merchants don’t need to maintain a separate IRIS account—payments are processed directly through the banking system.
At checkout, the customer selects IRIS as the preferred payment method.
After clicking the “Continue with IRIS” button, the user is redirected to the IRIS environment, where they can choose their bank account. From there, they log in to their e-banking, review the payment details, and approve the transaction.
Once confirmed, the payment is processed securely through the DIAS system, and both the customer and the merchant receive immediate confirmation.
e-Banking (DIAS) is a payment method offered through Viva, allowing customers to complete transactions via the DIAS interbanking system in Greece. It enables direct transfers through the customer’s bank account without the need for cards, providing a simple and trusted payment experience.
Ease of Use: Customers can quickly and easily log in to their bank account to complete the transfer.
Security: All transfers are processed securely within the customer’s trusted online banking environment.
After logging into their bank’s website, the customer selects Viva as the payment option. They can then review the payment details and approve the transfer.
